Description
Identity. Determined by the outside from the moment we are born on. Categorized within pre-assigned patterns of identity. When do we start forging our own identity? Self-reflection? Maturity?
A Process. A process of release. Constraints that strangle us from the outside. Caught in structures. Constricted by prejudice. Constricted in mobility. Categorized in stereotypes. Liberation through our selves. A process.
Is it possible to detach our selves, to release us from constraints?
Even if we physically free ourselves from bonds. Imprints, impressions, memories, experiences.
Can identity be found? Does identity re-invent itself again from moment to moment?
I am struggling in putting the pictures of my past performances online. It is a feeling of shame and vulnerability seeing me that half naked. But on the other side it shows me self empowerment. It is my body and I can use my body to express art. "Mit meinem Körper arbeite ich an den Grenzen, jedoch nie über sie hinaus".

The natural breeze is a performance in the public space lake Ratzersdorf in St. Pölten, Lower Austria. It is a dance. Free. Freely I am moving to the sound of the music. Me. I dance. I play. I am. I am within this moment.

Song
I wrote this song in 2014. It helped me to rediscover and feel the beautiful moments in life. In this performance the singers are myself and two friends.
In my song I try to create a feeling of unity and freedom. Especially the line „brother sisters take your hands we are all connected we are friends“ emphasizes the idealistic idea of a global friendship and connection between people.
The dance is improvised freely.

The 1stimage of this series deals with the INDIVIDUAL. The self. Self-awareness.
The 2nd image of this series deals with DUALITY. 1+1 is one. 2 parts replenish to a whole.
The 3rd image of this series deals with SHAMANISM. One side reflects the representational, realistic reproduction of my self, the other side the feeling part of my own self. The images can exist apart from each other. Together they create two pictures of who I am. Reality and the spiritual world are separate, but one.
